<p>The updated ASCVD Risk Estimator Plus incorporates the latest scientific advancements and feedback from users to assist healthcare professionals and patients in developing a personalized plan to reduce cardiovascular risk over a 10-year period.</p>

<ul>
	<li>Utilize the app to calculate a patient's initial 10-year ASCVD risk using the pooled cohort equation.</li>
	<li>Receive a tailored intervention strategy based on individual risk assessment.</li>
	<li>Anticipate the potential impact of specific interventions on the patient's risk profile.</li>
	<li>Facilitate discussions between clinicians and patients to customize an intervention plan.</li>
	<li>Monitor and adjust risk levels at subsequent visits based on the patient's response to therapy using the Million Hearts Longitudinal model.</li>
</ul>

<p>The app's recommendations are informed by guidelines such as the 2019 ACC/AHA Guideline on the Primary Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease, the 2018 ACC/AHA Guidelines on the Management of Blood Cholesterol, the 2017 ACC/AHA Guidelines on High Blood Pressure in Adults, the 2013 ACC/AHA Guideline on the Assessment of Cardiovascular Risk, and the 2016 Million Hearts Longitudinal ASCVD Risk Assessment Tool user guide. The content and suggestions provided in this application aim to support clinical decision-making processes. They do not intend to dictate the sole or optimal course of action, nor replace professional judgment. Treatment options should be mutually decided upon through dialogue between patients and their healthcare providers.</p>
